This is the information sheet for the care and instructions of how to use your edible cake toppers.
How to remove your topper from the backing paper
Do not take your edible cake toppers out of its packaging until you need to use them for decorating….humidity in the air will effect your inks.
Step 1
If you have a flat baking tray, put this in your freezer the day before with nothing on it to get very cold or if you have an empty draw in your freezer that will work aswell.
Step 2
Place your edible cake topper into the freezer ( on tray if you have one ) for 3 to 5 minutes, this will be stiff when removed from the freezer, Immediately lay flat near a sharp edge of a table, pull backing sheet down towards the floor, the icing circle will stay stiff and straight, when enough has come away quickly lift the icing topper with both hands and gently lay on the top of your prepared cake you made yourself earlier.
With fairy cup cake toppers cut the sheet into four strips and then place them all in your freezer or on your tray. Then after three minutes take one strip out and remove the toppers from the backing sheets as above and repeat until all done.
DO NOT let freezer drip or frost onto the icing, this will make holes in the icing, cover with cling film if you think your freezer will do this.
If the toppers don't come away from the backing sheets you may need to make sure your freezer is back up to temperature, leave it for 1 hour and try again.
If your icing on your cake is dry and set you may need to apply a thin mist of water on the top for the topper to stick, not to much otherwise your topper will dissolve.
